Appointment Request

To request an appointment, please complete the following web-form in its entirety (no appointment will be offered otherwise). Also, unfortunately, this does not guarantee an appointment, as the demand far exceeds current availability. A Chaser consultation should be incorporated into your long-term funding workplan. Given the rigor of the application process, appointments will not be made less than a month prior to any application deadline.

Appointments are available only to students currently enrolled in the Graduate School-New Brunswick. Students enrolled in the Graduate School-Newark or Graduate School-Camden should contact their appopriate Dean's office for assistance (if you wish to received information on applying to a graduate program, visit Graduate Admissions).

Chaser offers three types of consultations: (1) Planning Your Application Process (2) Help with a Funder, and (3) Proposal Review and Critique. Please indicate the type of meeting you would like to schedule. During the heavy deadline season, September to December, only appointments for proposal review will be available. Appointments for planning, funder help and proposal review may be scheduled anytime from January through August.
Planning Your Application Process Meeting If you plan to apply for external funding, schedule a Planning Your Application Process Meeting to learn about funding options, discuss application strategies and learn what you will need to do to write a competitive application. This initial meeting must be scheduled at least four months prior to your first application deadline. Please indicate, to the right and above, which award(s) is or are of interest.
Help with a Funder: If you would like help starting an application to a specific funder, the Help with a Funder Meeting will allow for an in-depth discussion of the funder, their application process and strategies for writing a competitive application. The Help with a Funder Meeting must be scheduled at least two months prior to the deadline. Please indicate the funder you have questions about (again, above and to the right) and their application url.

Proposal Review: A Proposal Review Meeting will allow you to have your draft proposal for a grant or fellowship application reviewed and critiqued. This meeting must be scheduled at least one month before the deadline, and the proposal draft must be submitted by the Friday morning before your scheduled meeting. Please provide the name of the funding program you are applying to and their url.
