16-MAY-08 | Workshop: How to Write a Successful External Funding Proposal to Support Your Dissertation

REGISTRATION FOR THIS WORKSHOP IS CLOSED. This workshop is designed for the doctoral student who plans to apply for external funding in the Fall 2008 semesters to support dissertation work (research and/or writing) during the 2009-2010 academic year. The workshop will take the student through the mechanics of writing a strong proposal for external funding. To participate in the workshop, each registered participant must complete and submit by 9:00am on Thursday, May 8, 2008 either our Proposal Writing Tutorial or a proposal written for a specific funding competition. Participants should be prepared to draft a funding proposal based on their proposed dissertation research. The workshop activities will include lecture, group discussions, group exercises and review and critique sessions. The work you produce for the workshop will be discussed and critiqued by the group. To participate, pre-registration is required by May 2, 2008.
